Let’s end brokenness from addiction.
We are a community who have recovered from a variety of addictions, including drugs, alcohol and self-harm.
We are committed to helping others break free from their addictions through spiritual retreats, workshops, and other events that provide the tools to thrive and achieve freedom.
Following the 12 Steps that made the original AA successful
Over 50 years of experience in recovery and retreats
35+ Retreats held Globally
Face-to-face retreats are held all over England and Wales. We also run virtual retreats, held over Zoom. We also provide follow-up meetings for people every Tuesday evening over Zoom, allowing you to continue after the retreat to plan your future recovery, and stay engaged in a safe and supportive community.
We create and promote opportunities for life-changing spiritual experiences for individuals and families suffering from all forms of addiction. Our practitioners share our experience, strength, and hope through our own stories of how we ‘came to believe.’
Driven by the original Spiritual principles found in the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, we connect people with the Source of spiritual and physical freedom to discover a new way of living.
Although the 12 Steps is founded in Christianity, we don’t carry ties to any specific religion or church. We welcome those from any faith, or no faith at all.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer our services to under-18s, but please get in touch and we will help however we can.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Came to Believe Recovery. Our recovery programs are volunteer-based and offer people in recovery a way to give back, strengthen their recovery, and support others who are seeking recovery. For more information on volunteering, please contact us!
Hundreds of volunteers make up a powerful network for the spread of our vital message. The Came to Believe Recovery retreats and programs welcome both those addicted and family members and loved ones.
Our volunteer network includes individuals from each of these categories, further strengthening our belief that we got sick together and we can get well together. We share how thousands of people have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body.
CTBR events are designed to kick-start recovery.
Our retreats all around the United Kingdom are led by recovered alcoholics, addicts and family members who are part of the CTBR network.
